Boracay is an island in the Philippines known for its white sand beaches, the clear sea surrounding it, and the wonderful nightlife, the island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines for relaxing and having fun. When I visited the island for the first time, I was stunned by how clear the water was, and how white the sands were. The beaches I visited before were not like Boracay was and still is now.

Boracay is located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila. It is mainly reachable by air, the most common way is to take a flight from Manila-Kalibo or Manila-Caticlan, the latter makes it quicker to reach the island, but the former is more popular due to it being normally having cheaper ticket prices compared to a direct flight to from Manila to Caticlan.

We’ll start with the main highlight of the island: the beaches. I would recommend taking a dip or just walking in the white sand if you don’t feel like doing anything. If you want to have some fun, there are lots of activities to do such as snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing, banana boating, or out of water activities such as shopping at D’Mall, getting hennas, or simply just getting a massage. I never got bored at all in Boracay. There are also tons of restaurants in Boracay, so if you are planning a foodtrip, make sure to try out the local cuisine, and for me? The food is really good.

My visit at the island is very fulfilling, it felt really good to stroll at the sands, roam around the area, meet the locals, and I enjoyed the food the most. Even though I live in the Philippines, I still enjoyed going there, and I felt really sad when we had to leave. If you have a chance to visit Boracay, you definitely should visit.
