Fate of the Furious (2017) is the eighth entry of the long-running Fast and the Furious franchise. This is also the second movie in where Paul Walker doesn’t star as Brian O’ Connor in the series, the first was Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), because this was due to his death back in 2013 due to a single car crash in a Porsche Carrera GT.

Plot Synopsis
When Dom and Letty got married, Brian (isn’t seen in the movie) and Mia retired and the crew seperated and lived fairly normal lives. Soon however, a mysterious woman named Cipher forces Dom to betray his teammates during a mission. Now, the rest of the team must bring back Dom to reunite the family and stop Cipher from unleashing chaos.

Review
The movie still follows a plot of runner cars, explosions, and some evil terrorist who threatens to destroy them and the world. This is what the Fast and the Furious franchise is now, and you can expect future movies to also have the same plot from here on out instead of street racing, which is what the franchise started with. However, for me, Fate of the Furious is very enjoyable to watch, and I find the particular fight scene with Hobbs and Deckard Shaw to be very thrilling (and somewhat funny).

Verdict
If you are a Fast and the Furious fan, I am not telling you not to watch this film, in fact, I recommend if you’re a fan, that you still go and watch this film. However, if you’re not a fan, I would still recommend this to you, especially if you’re a fan of those Michael Bay like explosions.
